SPECIAL EVENT FIRST RESPONDER AND FAMILY WELLNESS DAY!

The Chicago Police Department is coordinating with CFD and OEMC to host a First Responder and Family Wellness Day. Members of all three agencies are invited to come together and bring their families to enjoy a fun-filled day of activities that will nurture them physically, mentally and emotionally. Our members typically experience the ills of society every day. The purpose of this event is to encourage, build resilience, and embrace the entire family unit by providing resources and tools for them to function as a whole, in a more healthy and productive way. In addition to the day-to-day work and life stressors, as the summer months and the DNC approach, we know that we're about to embark on a trying period of time that will require a lot of patience and understanding from us and our families. This event aims to provide effective and easily accessible tools, strategies and resources to minimize the effects of the day-to-day challenges, as well as the effects of the especially trying times that we encounter. The event will take place on SATURDAY, 15 JUNE 24 from 1100-1600 hours at our Public Safety Training Center, 701 N. Kilbourne Ave. There will be workshops, information/ resource tables with vendors, and enjoyment for all ages. Refer to AMC #309061 attachment to find QR Code for registration for attendees. If you are unable to attend, your family members are still welcome to attend in your absence, but ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED. Please send questions and suggestions to sharon. boyd@chicagopolice.org.
