Lorraine Rescan (nee Frklich), age 94, late of Dyer, formerly of the East Side of Chicago, passed away August 21, 2024. Beloved wife of the late George CFD. Loving mother of Georgette (late David) Skibinski, Diane Rescan, Matthew (Anna Marie) Rescan and the late Douglas (Linda) Rescan. Devoted grandmother of Christopher (Amanda) Skibinski, Lauren (Brandon) Llanes, Anthony (Angeline Fiancée) Rescan, Natalie (Daniel) Tatick, Stephanie Rescan and Michael (Neely) Rescan. Cherished great grandmother of Duke, Drew, James, Beau, Karsten, Reid, Kane, Emerson and Samantha. Longtime secretary and former parishioner at Annunciata Catholic Church and 50 year member of Croatian Fraternal Union. Visitation Monday, August 26, 2024 from 2-7 p.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 9931 Lincoln Plaza Way, Cedar Lake, IN. Funeral Services Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Directly at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN, where visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling all coppers. Please join the newly formed group Windy City Coppers located in the greater Tampa Bay Area. We meet for breakfast every last Wednesday of the month. We encourage any and all current or retired CPD to attend as we attempt to solve all the world’s problems one breakfast at a time.
