Charles S. Chipman, January 11, 1949 — November 11, 2024, New Lenox. Charles S. Chipman, Age 75, of New Lenox, IL passed away Monday, November 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born in Lauderdale, TN to the late Allen P. and Beulah M. (nee Jones) Chipman. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Chopp) Chipman; loving father of Charles E. (Tina) Chipman, Cynthia (John) Stukel, Jennifer (David) Chizmark, Keith (Jen) Olsen, and Kristina Olsen; cherished grandfather of Tiphany (Spencer) Gilbert, Cord Chipman, Elly (Tom) Fouhy, Ryan (Kariann) Borgra, Codi Stukel, Alyssa Stukel, Alayna Chizmark, Lincoln Chizmark, Clint Olsen, Clay Olsen, Cameron Olsen, Gabriella Franchini, and Roger “Tre” Phillips III; proud great grandfather of Emery, Evelyn, and Owen Borgra, Liam Dillon, and Finnbar Conrad Fouhy; dear brother of Barbara (Wayne) Goodwin, Allen (Joyce) Chipman, Ted (Char) Chipman, and Debbie (Eric) Ostrem; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Charles retired in 2004 as Captain with the Joliet Fire Department after 25 years of dedicated service. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank Lightways Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care. Private services were held. Charles S.
