This year I want to start off by thanking all of you for the overwhelming support you have shown these past 2 years. Without your support the benefit would not be as successful as it is. Your generosity means a lot to us and to Autism Speaks!



For those of you unfamiliar with our story it all began in August of 2015, when our youngest son Ethan was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). This diagnosis shook us up and flipped our entire world upside-down. As emotional as it was and still is at times we’ve managed to see the bigger picture and realize that there are far worse things in life that others have to deal with and we are thankful for Ethan and all that he brings to our lives and all that he has taught us at only 5 years old.



Ethan has a voice and he knows how to use it! He may have to think a little longer to figure out the correct phrase or words he wants to say that the situation calls for but he can also handle requests, he sings, counts, plays games, puts puzzles together and fights with his big brother and sister just like other kiddos do. Ethan struggles with noise sensitivity at times as well as anxiety and sensory issues but he is finding his voice more and more everyday that goes by and we absolutely LOVE IT!



He is doing amazing thanks to all his amazing therapists and I am thankful for them and the true connection they have with him. They have a very close relationship with him and he trusts them and loves them and they love him too and that’s all we could ask for!
