With all that has gone on the last few weeks, I inadvertently omitted the below obituary. Although the wake and funeral has taken place, prayers and thoughts may be said. So Sorry!



Pamela Ann Berg (nee Signoretti), age 65. Cherished mother of Derek Berg; proud grandmother of Brandon, Ryan and Hayden; loving long-time partner of Joe Garcia; beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred Signoretti; dearest sister of Robert retired CPD, Jim and the late Don; loving aunt of Dave, Jill, Adam; the late DJ and best boba of Milly Mondi and Carolyn Bernett. Retired employee of Wells Fargo. Pam enjoyed ice-skating, traveling, and shopping with her friends and spending time with her pets Dug and Goose. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, April 1st from 10:30am until time of Mass at 11:30am at St. Viator Catholic Church, 4170 W. Addison St. Chicago, IL. Interment will be private. Dolores Barragan, (Samano), age 78, late of the East Side passed away on March 29, 2022. Former wife of Michael Samano, Sr. Loving mother of Christine Rose Samano and Michael Joseph Samano. Devoted grandmother of William (CFD) (Rebecca) Samano, Danielle Samano RN., and Paul (Laura) Samano. Dearest great grandmother of Elizabeth, Logan, Pauly, Ethan, Madison, Amelia and Jace. Dennis J. Carter, Jan. 12, 2022. Age 80. Of Tinley Park, IL. U.S. Army Veteran and retired Firefighter. Devoted husband of RoseAnn Carter, nee Schimeca. Loving father of Michael (Kimberly) and Dennis (Leah) Carter, Cherished grandfather of Grace, Nicholas, Michael, Olivia, Rachel, and Sophia. Thomas ("Tom") P. Fitzgerald, Jr. passed away March 30, 2022. Born in Chicago, IL on Jan. 20, 1942 to the late Thomas Patrick Fitzgerald (CFD-Duty Death 10/1942) and Elsie (nee Stastny) Fitzgerald. Beloved brother of Geraldine (George) Tipman; the late Elsie Jean "Teddy" (Willard) Anderson; ½ brother of the late James M. Fitzgerald the late Mary Therese (Marie) Hanafin; many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews Tom was a well-read intelligent man with a quirky sense of humor who enjoyed listing to all genres of music, attended many live concerts in Millennia Park, the Chicago Cultural Cr. He enjoyed watching TV - anything that would peak his interest and expand his knowledge. He was an avid bicyclist who participated in many events, such as Bike the Drive, & Oak Park sponsored events. Tom was soft-spoken, kind-hearted who loved spending time with family. The children loved "going to visit Uncle Tom" whether they were going there to have their bicycles fixed or just to have fun. Lorelei Ann Goodman, nee Peskac, of Chicago, Il, lived 76 wonderful years. She was the beloved wife of Patrick, (Retired CPD) for 55 years; loving mother of Judi (David) Conaghan and Katy Goodman; devoted grandmother to Annie, Heidi, Kate, Kevin and Brian Conaghan, and to Ryan and Hattie Emery; she was their biggest fan. Cherished sister of Don (the late Lenna), Peskac Bob (Linda) Peskac and Sue (Frank) Ordakowski. Fond sister-in-law of Benny (Laura) Goodman, MaryRose Piet, Gene (Patti) Piet, Jean Ann Wieczorek, Jody (Bruce) Mayer, and Hank (Lisa) Goodman. Treasured aunt, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by her loving parents Clarence and Hattie Peskac, and by her grandson PJ Conaghan. Lori’s family was the center of her universe; she loved deeply and strongly, and was giving, caring and thoughtful beyond measure. Our lives were all better for having known her. Mary C. Springer (nee Edmunds), August 22, 1937 - March 30, 2022. beloved wife of the late Ronald C. Springer (CPD). Loving mother of Timothy (Michele) Springer & Catherine Springer Murphy (Christopher Polanski). Eternally proud grandmother of Megan Springer, Connor Murphy, Katharine Springer and Matthew Springer. Andy Theodore, age 62, at rest March 28, 2022. Beloved husband of Donna Theodore (nee Richards) for 40 years; Loving and cherished father of Lauren (Joseph) Holoubek, CPD Peter (Areli) Theodore, Andrew (Jessica) Theodore, and Reyna Theodore; Devoted Papou of Pano, Lucas, Gabriella, Alaina, Drew, and Connor; Beloved son of the late Panagiotis and Eleni Theodorakakis; Dearly loved brother of Nick Theodore, Kiki (George) Gatses, and Terry (Melanie) Theodore; Fond son-in-law of Ronald & Patricia Richards; and Christine Richards; Dearly loved brother-in-law of Sharon Rubar, Tom (Warren) Richards, Larry (Mary) Richards, and the late Darlene Miller. On Sunday March 27th, Michael Witt, loving husband and father of three, passed away at the age of 48. Mike was born in Evergreen Park Illinois February 2, 1974 to Michael and Lorelei Witt. Michael is a graduate of H.L Richards High School and Western Illinois University. Michael married Megan in 2002 and together they had three children, Thomas, Abigail and Lucy. Michael served the Illinois State Police for 25 years. He was an active community member volunteering with Oak Lawn Baseball and Softball and St. Jude Hockey Club. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his children and cheering them on in their sports and activities. Michael was a loving husband and father, loyal son, supportive brother and cherished friend to many and he will be greatly missed. Michael is survived by his wife Megan, his three children Thomas, Abigail and Lucy, his parents Michael and Lorelei Witt, his brothers and sisters, Michelle Moore, Deborah (Tom) Morowczynski, Marjorie ( Andrew) Sullivan, James Witt, Patrick Witt, Kathryn Witt, Timothy Witt and Jennifer (James) Zielke and his twenty three nieces and nephews, along with nine great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Blake and Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn 4727 W. 103rd Street Oak Lawn on Tuesday April 5, 2022 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. St. Jude Services to begin at 5:45pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at St. Linus Catholic Church beginning at 9:30am. Interment to immediately follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery, Chicago.

The Northside Retired Chicago Police Breakfast is the 1st. Monday of the month. The breakfast will be held at the Blossom Cafe, 8349 W Lawrence Ave Norridge, IL. Doors open at about 0730.
