Passed Away 26 March 2022 Detention Ade Dennis Graham assigned to 004 District.



 
John McLeod, 92, passed to eternal rest on March 31, 2022 in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Born in Chicago on March 19, 1930, he was the only son of Leona (McMahon) & John McLeod. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. Served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War as a forward artillery observer from 1951-53, receiving the Korean Service Medal with three bronze campaign stars as well as the United Nations Service Medal.  Appointed a detective with the Chicago Police Department in 1954. He served in the stock yards district, and Area 3 Robbery, among others, receiving many honors and commendations. After retirement from the police force he ran several businesses in Wisconsin and Florida, before retiring to Bella Vista, AR.  He was a well-respected patriot with a sense of duty, charm and happy nature. He was sustained by the sincerity of his Catholic faith and integrity. Visitation at 9:00am at St. James of the Sag Church in Lemont, Illinois, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. James of the Sag Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chicago Police Department Memorial Foundation, https://cpdmemorial.org/ are appreciated. Patricia I. Mines, “Cooker”, (Ret. CPD), age 73, late of the East Side passed away on April 2, 2022. Beloved daughter of late William and late Irene Mines. Loving sister of Kathy (Alan) Beach and Nancy Faulkner. Dear “Auntie” of Jennifer (Brian) Smith, Scott Beach, Jeffrey Faulkner and Lauren (Marko Matic) Faulkner. Great “Auntie” of eight. Dear friend of Patty Hoelscher. Paricia loved having a good time and to travel the world. Retired Data System Analyst for the Chicago Police Department. Beloved husband of Julia, née Hill; loving father of Rebecca (Rodney) Pettersen and Dianna (Arshad Ali) Radom; dearest grandfather of Jake and Jenna Pettersen; found cousin of Francine Manilow, Lana Friedman, Sondra Kritch, Nadine Winston, Jerry and Ronnie Rishe, Esther Pullan, and Jackie Shalom; dear brother-in-law of many. Visitation, Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service, 11:30 a.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. 09 April 22 Lunch with the Easter Bunny!
The Yanez Family and the FOP Lodge #7 Women’s Committee will be hosting this years Lunch with the Easter Bunny Saturday April 9, 2022, from 12:00PM-3:00PM.
