Mary Louise McDonaugh, nee O’Connor, died peacefully on January 5th after a battle with Alzheimer’s. MaryLou was a native of Chicago and attended Amundsen High School. In 1958, she met and married Patrick J. McDonaugh, a currently retired Chicago Police Captain. MaryLou worked various jobs as an administrative assistant, the “lunch lady” at St. Juliana’s Catholic School, and assisting medical staff in cancer research. However, the most valuable work she did was as a domestic CEO to the McDonaugh Family. MaryLou would note her legacy was raising six children. Her children continued to develop her loving legacy from mother to grandmother to great grandmother through her 88 years. In earlier times, MaryLou loved to jitterbug, travel, and entertain dinner guests. She had a fondness for shopping, listening to music, and her close friends Brigitte and Byron Jones and Jean Sullivan. Remembering her fondly are her children Maureen (William) Harte, Patrick Jr., Kevin (Sophie), Kathleen Buttell, Brian (Maureen). She is at peace with her son Terry. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren including Megan Altwasser, Patrick (Antonia) Altwasser, Terry Harte, Daniel Harte, Patrick McDonaugh III, Anna McDonaugh, Alfred McDonaugh, Victoria McDonaugh, Adeline (Jonathan) Lavengco, Brianna Buttell, John McDonaugh, and Jack McDonaugh. Her great grandchildren include Conner Burkhardt, Memphis Kornstein, Ellie Harte, and Alice Altwasser. MaryLou grew up in a loving family. She is the fond sister of Alice (George) Heidkamp, and the late Patricia (the late George) Montoye and Jim O'Connor (William Kyle Barlow). The family would like to extend our warmest and sincere thank you to Carolyn and Rashi from Home Instead / Honor Care Agency. Their skillfulness and unconditional care kept MaryLou comfortable in her home. Visitation Sunday, 3-8 p.m., at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy. (2 blks. S. of Touhy), Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, 9:30 a.m. from funeral home, to St. Juliana Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. James F. Moran. James Felton was born to John T. Moran and Rosa Delfin Moran in Montrose, Louisiana. He was second of four brothers. His parents and one brother Elliott preceded him in death. He received his early education in Louisiana before coming to Chicago. He joined the United States Navey serving 8 years. Upon discharge he attended the Police training school. He joined the Chicago Police Department October 1, 1956 and retired October 28, 1987. Sgt. Moran received many Department Commendations. He devoted 31 years of his life in the service to the people of Chicago, and in so doing has personally ensured that the city of Chicago was safe, healthy and vibrant. James was united in marriage with Frances A. Ambler Moran on November 22, 1958/. He loved to travel to all countries and share his experiences by telling stories and an avid reader. James leaves behind to morn his wife Francis, daughter Cheryl, grandson James Thomas, two brothers Donald Jerome Moran, Joseph Ferdie Moran, and nieces and nephews.



Retired CPD Gang Crimes Investigator and Cook County S.A.O. Investigator Dan Noon passed away on 6 Jan 2023 after a long and courageous battle with several medical issues caused by his exposure to Agent Orange while serving as a U. S. Marine in Vietnam. At this time there is no other information. Will forward when available. Rest In Peace Dan and Sempre Fi. Heaven has received another Outstanding Marine to guard it's streets.

AND...

Phil Young became suddenly ill. He is currently in a coma and in hospice as of this morning. He only entered the hospital .Two or Three days ago. Please ask the troops for some prayers for him!
