Catherine Teresa Schnell (nee Bingham), formerly of Chicago, 90 years of age, passed away in her home on May 16, 2023. Devoted wife to the late Vern, retired CFD. Dedicated mother to Wayne, retired CPD (Colleen), Douglas, Michael (Alicia), Nancie Miller (Robert, Sergeant, Mokena PD), David (Regina), and Glenn (Brian Heath). Loving grandmother to seventeen and great-grandmother to fourteen. Catherine is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Lorene (nee Regan) Bingham. Dear sister to fifteen brothers and sisters, Harry retired Captain CPD, Robert retired Lieutenant CFD, William retired CFD. She was an active member in the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. After retiring from thirty years in the Teamsters Union, she spent her retirement years traveling the country and sharing memories with her family. Interment will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center or SafeNest Las Vegas.

Vickie Vasilopoulos, nee Georgeopoulos, 92, born in Mousta, Messinia, Greece and longtime resident of Chicago, passed away June 8, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Nick; loving mother of Peter (Eleni) and Gus (Erin); cherished grandmother of Jack, Niko, Billy, Alexia, Kelli, Alex and Gia; dearest sister of Chris (Vaso) Georgeopoulos and the late Pitsa (the late Kostas) Kosmas and the late Eugenia (Paraskeva) Zaglaris; fond aunt and Godmother of many. Visitation Monday, June 12, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave., Chicago. Interment Montrose Cemetery.
