Beverly A. “Bev” Cascone (nee Bruno), age 79. Beloved wife of 60 years to Bud (ret. CFD). Loving mother of Gina (Bill) Novak, Brian (Mary), Joe (Gina) and Vince (Mariza) Cascone. Proud Nana of Jess, Julie, Billy, Katy, Kayla, the late Christopher, Nicholas, Jonathan, Samuel, Francis, Anthony, Vincent, Nathaniel, Emma, Jacob and Allison, great grandmother of Dottie, Nova, Laila, Atlas, Juniper, Zoe, Grant and Jaxon. Preceded in death by her parents Peter and Josephine Bruno and her sister Judy Lusk. Dear sister of Rita (Pat) Kennedy. Bev was a friend of Bill W. “When you look upon my death in sorrow-it is greatly exaggerated. See you soon!” A memorial Mass will be offered at the St. Faustina Kowalska Church (formerly St. Jane de Chantal Church) on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. (please arrive at the church by 9:45 a.m) with interment to follow at the Good Shepherd Cemetery. CHAPLAINS CORNER!

The CPD Chaplains will be hosting a screening of ‘Sabbath,’ a documentary by award winning filmmaker Martin Doblmeier, focusing on rest. This special screening is for active and retired CPD members and will be held on Tuesday, 12 Sep 2023 from 1230-1600 hours at Park Community Church, 1001 N. Crosby St, Chicago IL. There will also be discussion after the documentary.
