We are sad to announce the passing of Frank Joseph McColgin, on May 6th, 2024 in Sarasota, Florida. Frank passed peacefully in the company of his wife of 45 years, Barbara, and friends. Frank was survived by his wife, Barbara, and his beloved sister, Betty Brooker. He was preceded in death by his brother, John. Frank was a lifelong resident of Chicago and served the Chicago Fire Department on Engine 22. Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In loving memory of Frank, a celebration of life will be held in September.

The trial for the attempted murder of PO Victoria Mendoza and PO David Perez will begin Tomorrow, 13 May 2024 and is expected to last until Thursday, 16 May 2024 at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building at 2650 S. California Avenue, room 400 at 0900 hours. The officers will be present and not only welcome but also appreciate the support from CPD members. All are welcome to show support!
