Bob Herman.jpeg

Please join us in a Celebration of Life for our father, Bob Herman. Most of you know him as Pa, Coach, Herm, Hunk, but NEVER Mr. Herman.

We are going to honor Dad just as he wanted, the same way we honored the love of his life, Marilyn (Murry). We are asking all friends and relatives of family to come join us for drinks and appetizers on Friday, May 31st, from 3:00-9:00PM at The Fairway, 6676 W. Howard St., Nile’s, IL.

Wear your Red, White & Blue, or if you still have/fit into your Chargers gear, if you must, you can wear green & gold. Wear to share all the great memories of the man that will always have a place in our heart’s!

John Pinski.jpg

John T. Pinski; Korean War Army Veteran & Ret. CPD Patrolman (17th District); beloved husband of the late Emily; loving father of John J. Pinski and Lisa Maria (Christopher) Nowak; fond brother of the late Chester (late Helen), late Stanley (late Mildred), late Jimmy, late Mary (late Angelo), late Wanda and the late Dorothy; also, dear uncle and cherished friend of many. John was a devout Catholic, who lived his religion. He cherished his family and friends and was always there to selflessly and generously help in any way possible. John was an avid sportsman and enjoyed countless fishing and hunting trips with the "boys". He always enjoyed taking in a Cubs or Bears game when possible. John adored his wife Emily and traveled with her to Vegas and Branson to "blow off a little stream" now and then. He had a unique "Zen" like quality that people were drawn to and was always the calm voice of reason in tumultuous situations. John was meticulous, hardworking and mechanically inclined. He never boasted about his many accomplishments and capabilities, and he never complained (because what good would that do anyway?). He was humble, kind, and a genuinely all around great guy that was respected and loved by all who knew him. His absence will leave a tremendous void in so many lives. John was truly "one of a kind"! Visitation Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., beginning at 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 Noon. Entombment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery, in Niles. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated. For information 773-774-0366.
