Bogan, age 45; beloved son of Shirley and the late Michael Bogan, Sr.; step-son of Natalie Bogan; loving brother of Michael (Katie) Bogan; cherished uncle of Sarah, Michael, and Avery; dedicated Law Enforcement servant for nearly 20 years. Visitation Friday, June 14, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at COLONIAL-WOJCIECHOWSKI FUNERAL HOME 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Funeral Service Saturday, June 15, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Warren R. Danielson, 83, of Elgin, passed away on June 6, 2024. He was born on July 15, 1940, in Elgin, IL, the son of Ray and Rose (Peterson) Danielson. Warren graduated from Elgin High School in 1958, and was drafted into the military and served as a Military Policeman at West Point Academy. Upon his release, Warren returned to Elgin, IL and became an Elgin Police Officer on November 20, 1961. He was appointed Interim Chief of Police on June 2, 1989, and retired from duty on January 10, 1992, after 31 years of service. In retirement, Warren worked for Fenzel Motors in Hampshire for 7 years. He enjoyed gardening and loved Cars. Survivors include his wife, Lynneen Danielson, whom he married September 9, 1967; his daughter, Lisa Danielson; along with many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4:00pm-9:00pm at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 1:00pm, at the funeral home. A burial with Military Honors will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.

CPD Fathers’ Day Mass at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park at 1000 hours Sunday, 16 June 2024. All active and retired CPD members, Gold Star Families, Chaplains Ministry supporters, and their families are welcome, as is the public. Mass will be finished by 1030 hours to accommodate on-duty worshipers on their lunch break. While this is a Catholic Mass, ALL are welcome to honor dads, grandfathers, and father figures whose names are permanently inscribed on the walls of the CPD memorial. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic lunch if you want to stick around. Call Fr. Dan Brandt, CPD Chaplain, in case of inclement weather, at 773-550-2369 for status updates. Ample free parking is available on Museum Campus Drive. Uniformed CPD officers will direct you. The CFD 5-11 canteen will provide water, Gatorade, coffee, and snacks. Spiritual Wellness is a vital part of Officer Wellness. The Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers Women’s Bible Study holds its monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Chicago Police Academy located at 1300 W. Jackson Blvd. This month’s meeting will be held on 12 JUNE 2024 from 1600-1800 hours in Room 201. All active duty and retired members are welcome to attend.
