It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert A. Buckley on June 4, 2024, in North Port, FL. He was born on November 7, 1946, in Chicago IL, to his father, the late James Buckley, and his mother, the late Mary Buckley née Donahue. He was a brother to Thomas (Veronica), the late Alice Bradley née Buckley and the late Jim Buckley. Robert was a beloved husband to Margeret and a father to Rob, Margaret, Joe (Michelle) and Melissa. He was a beloved Grandpa to Anna, Claire, Leno, Noah, Satoshi and Kimiko. Robert was a retired Cook County Sheriff, a US Army Vietnam Veteran and 15-year employee at NASA. He loved sailing and his dogs, Robin and Clorinda. Robert will be remembered for his strength and willingness to help others in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday July 2 from 5:00-7:00pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue DesPlaines, Illinois. George Frances Buffo, 64, of Orland Park, at rest June 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary Kay (nee Lynch); loving father of Louis (Katie) and Luke (Kristin); devoted son of the late Louis and Anna Marie (nee Milella); dearest grandfather of Madison, Lexi, Shaun, Maggie, Remi, George and Lukie; dear brother of LuAnne and Mary Jo Buffo, Chrissy (the late Lino) Mardegan Jr. and Lisa (Kevin) Mahoney; John, Jeannie and T.J. Lynch; fond uncle of Jessica (Tracy), Bridgette (Ryan), Katie, Ashley, Claudia, Johnny, Jeanne and Louis; great-uncle of Emma. George was a retired engineer with the Berwyn Fire Dept. He was vice-president emeritus of Local 506. George enjoyed fishing and boating but most of all he loved being with his grandchildren. Visitation Monday, July 8th from 3-9 P.M.
