Wilfredo Rodriguez.jpg
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, son, brother, and hero, Wilfredo Rodriguez, who left us far too soon at the age of 47. Wilfredo “Willy” Rodriguez dedicated 25 years of his life serving as a Firefighter for the City of Chicago. Born to Miguel Rodriguez Zuniga and Alice B. Flores. Wilfredo was raised with strong values and a deep sense of responsibility which he carried with him throughout his life. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the people he saved, and the love he gave so freely. We will miss him every day but find comfort in knowing that he is now watching over us from above. He was known not only for his bravery but also for his infectious humor, his warmth, and his handsome smile that could light up any room. Wilfredo had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel safe, loved, and cared for. He was the most protective person, fiercely devoted to his family and friends. Wilfredo is survived by his beloved wife, Leticia Lara, his cherished children, Emily and Justin Rodriguez, and his siblings, Veronica, Edgar, and Marco Antonio Rodriguez. Willy was a proud nurturing uncle to Ethan, Natalie, Nathan, and Neil Rodriguez. He was also a proud grandfather-to-be, eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild, as his son Justin and his girlfriend are expecting. Wilfredo also leaves behind countless friends and family members who will continue to honor his memory and cherish the moments shared with him.
