Alan J. Barski, 78, born and raised in Chicago, Il, died September 3, 2024, at his home in Indian Head Park, Il. He was born on March 22, 1046. He graduated from DE LaSalle High School and later completed significant college courses at the City of Chicago Colleges. Al entered the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War until honorably discharged. Thereafter, he was employed as a Chicago Police Detective. At the end of his career, he was elected and served as Treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Police from 1991- 2002. He loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and once drove cross country on it all the way from Chicago to Arizona in 2007. He fulfilled his lifelong dream of traveling to China and Japan.
