Leo A. Bronk, age 83, of Kenosha, passed away on September 16, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1941, in Rosholt, WI, to the late Leo N. Bronk and Evelyn (McGowan) Bronk. On December 30, 1960, he married Marilyn Warner in Old Shawnteetown, IL. He lived most of his early life in Junction City, WI. He joined the National Guard in 1959 before moving with his wife to Kenosha in 1961 and worked for AMC, Leo later took a job with the Kenosha Police Department and proudly served his community until 2000 when he honorably retired. Leo loved spending time with his family, hunting, flying, traveling, listening to polka music, and working as a handyman. Leo is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; children: Keith Bronk, Kip (Lori) Bronk, and Alisha Bronk; grandchildren: Heather (Kevin) Patrenets, Jeremy (Dawn) Bronk, Matthew (Caitlin) Bronk, and Ryan (Emma) Bronk; great-grandchildren: Christian (Becca), Kaylee, Grady, Brayden, Xander, Zen, Maverick, Cameron, Willow, and Lucas; siblings: George (Debi) Bronk, Thomas (Linda) Bronk, Robert (Kathy) Bronk, Mary (Thomas) Gentes, Patricia Brikeback, Judy (Anton) Mosciniski, and Barbara (Kevin) Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Joseph and Edward Bronk; a son, Kevin Bronk; and daughter-in-law, Christine Bronk. Services for Leo will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kenosha, WI (7304 40th Avenue.) His visitation will be taking place on Wednesday September 25th from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance in Leo's name are appreciated. Last Wednesday of the month Windy City Coppers! Tampa Bay!
Calling all coppers. Please join the newly formed group Windy City Coppers located in the greater Tampa Bay Area. We meet for breakfast every last Wednesday of the month. We encourage any and all current or retired CPD to attend as we attempt to solve all the world’s problems one breakfast at a time. Roll call is 10am at Tiffany’s Family Restaurant located at 35000 US Highway 19 in Palm Harbor, Florida.
