The father, John C. Chojnacki is a retired CPD.

John "Johnny" S. Chojnacki, gone too soon, Thursday, October 3, 2024. Johnny was born on December 4, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois to his devoted father, John C. Chojnacki, and his mother Cynthia Moore. Loving husband of Catherine "Cat" Rose Burra. Beloved brother of Jennifer Chojnacki. Cherished uncle of Samantha (Omar) Salameh and great-uncle to Savy and Owen. Johnny's laughter and amazing sense of humor will be missed by all! He left an impression on everyone he met because of his enormous personality. He truly enjoyed being the center of the room and will always be loved by his friends and family. A visitation for Johnny will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Avenue, Chicago, IL 60638. Visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a funeral chapel service at 10:00 am at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Avenue, Chicago, IL 60638. Our monthly luncheon this month is on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the EAGLE BUFFET, IN CASINO ARIZONA, 524 N. 92nd St, Scottsdale, AZ 85256, right off the 101 & 202 at McKellips. The buffet does not open until 11:00 AM. We will check-in at 11:00 AM. Stay in the right line, and please identify that you are with the CPD AZ Retiree Luncheon group. When you pay, the cost of the luncheon is now $25.00, which includes all you can eat, beverage, dessert, tax, and tip.

This month we have a guest speaker, Mike Marron, from Chicago. Mike has spoken to our group several times before and has important information regarding deferred compensation, additional insurance and tax free deductions, and other important information regarding those of us who are retired from CPD. He has worked with active and retired members of our department for many years. Please join us if you are looking for information regarding your financial situations and health insurance situations. Laura Peterson, the food service manager, is our contact person, phone 480-850-8602. She is doing a wonderful job to accommodate our group. They will try to get us through the line and get us seated quickly. We will be in the rear room if it is available. We will be trying to do the luncheons on THE THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH.
