Kevin R. Hanlon, 74, of Mokena, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024. Loving father of James, Kristine, and Joseph Hanlon. Cherished grandfather of Kyle Hanlon, Samantha Beil, and Caleb Hanlon. Fond brother of Jan. Beloved son of the late Leonard and Margaret Hanlon. Kevin will be remembered for his honorable service to the Chicago Police Department for 35 years. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Chapel Service at 7:00pm, at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park.

Laura M. Kubiak, a devoted public servant and retired Chicago police officer, departed this world on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the venerable age of 66. Born on June 20, 1958, Laura's life was an illustrious testament to dedication, courage, and compassion, marking her as an indelible figure in the community she served so faithfully. Laura is survived by her two brothers, David W. Kubiak, Ronald S. Kubiak, who fondly remember their sister's unwavering support and vibrant spirit. She held a special place in her heart for her nephew Ronald S. Kubiak Jr., as well as her nieces and nephews Vanessa (James) Bridges, Jacob Kubiak, Zachary Bridges, Bentley Bridges, Aidan Bridges, Mason Bridges, Savanah Bridges and Emberlyn Bridges. Each of them carries forward the values and memories that Laura instilled. Laura also cherished her role as a Godmother to Nicole Thompson and Karen Angelache. Additionally, Laura leaves behind many other dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were integral in her journey, sharing countless memories and experiences. Laura was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter and Marlene Kubiak, and sister Pamela M. Kubiak who shaped the person she became. They instilled in her the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion which she exemplified throughout her life. Laura devoted a significant part of her career to the Chicago Police Department, where she served as an officer. Her commitment to public safety and the well-being of her community was evident in the compassion and integrity with which she carried out her duties. Following her retirement, Laura continued to engage with her community by working at Steve’s Lounge for many years, where she fostered strong bonds with patrons and colleagues alike.
