John Joseph Cregan, son of Mary and John Cregan. Born in Limerick, Ireland on April 3, 1938 and died on November 14, 2025. Beloved husband for 61 years of late Mary Ellen, son Michael, daughter Kathleen (Sean) Hanley, and proud grandfather of Conor, Brigid (Bridie), and Meghan. Dear brother-in-law to late Margaret (Peggy), late Donald Feltz and Kathleen (Kay), late Roger Pona. Uncle of many nieces and nephews and loving cousin of Maureen Fitzgerald from Dingle, Ireland. John was a passionate officer for the Chicago Police Department, serving for 27 years. He took much pride in his Irish roots: listening to Irish hour every Saturday, frequenting Gaelic Park, and attending Milwaukee Irish Fest for 25 years. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00pm at St. Gianna Church, 10233 S Central Park Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805, interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Charles Darrell Marschke, age 89, of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away on November 10, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1936, in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Irene Marschke (nee Kasper). Chuck, as he was affectionately known, was a former Marine and worked as a Chicago police officer for over 25 years. He was known for his thoughtfulness, sarcastic sense of humor, love of family and love for all animals. He loved shopping online for thoughtful gifts. If you needed anything, he would be right on it. He liked taking care of all animals but especially loved his dogs. He loved his family vacations and especially his cruises with his wife, he loved his coffee and toast, Chicago sports teams, keeping up with world events and social media. You could always count on him for a good laugh as he played with his Snapchat filters. But the most important part of his life was his family and making sure that everyone was well taken care of, safe and happy. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 65 plus years, Kathleen Marschke (nee Lawlor); his devoted children Michael Marschke, Christine (James Morris), and Suzanne (Raymond Peters); his loving grandchildren David (Jen) Morris, Brian (Julie) Morris, Kevin Morris, Jeffrey (Emily) Peters, Jackie Marschke, Alyssa Peters, Rachel (Tony) Natalino (nee Morris), Drew Marschke; his precious great grandchildren Chloe and Vivian Morris, Jeffrey and Charlie Peters. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Irene Marschke; his sister Barbara (Walter) Ksiazek. Edwin A. Lammel age 84, entered Eternal Life on Saturday October 25, 2025 in Davenport , Florida, Beloved husband of Pamela; loving father of Debbie and Sue (Jason); dear stepdad of William (Laurie), Robert (Kerri), and Brian (Ruby); fond brother of Gene (Sharon) and Robert (the late Patricia); special grandpa of eighteen and great grandpa of nine; loving uncle of Colleen (Bill), Michelle (Leo), Katie (David), Chris (Tim) and Derek (Liz). Ed worked for the Village of Evergreen Park. He proudly served with the Fire Department for 38 years; retiring as Division Chief. The Fire Department was his second family. Margaret L. Stack, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, after a short illness. Margaret was the loving wife of the late Thomas Stack, retired Chicago Police Department. She was the beloved and revered mother of CPD Lieutenant Tom (Julie) Stack, and Nicole (Michael Cochrane) Stack, loving sister to Jerry Kaehn, Arlene Endres, and Dorothy Sedlacek. Devoted Grandmother to Shannon and Tommy Stack and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Margaret enjoyed reading, current events, movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She was well practiced in the art of listening to others’ problems and life stories and sharing her own with them. She was always willing to listen anytime anyone needed her and always proud of her kids’ and grandkids’ accomplishments. Margaret leaves behind a large group of family and friends who will miss her dearly, and who all share wonderful memories of their time spent with her. Obituary information for Ms. Margaret L.
