Hello, 

My name is Mel Hansen, and I am a producer with VICE currently working on the documentary series United Gangs of America, which explores the history, evolution, and continuing impact of organized street gangs throughout the United States.

We are currently developing an episode focused on the Vice Lords and their influence on Chicago's gang landscape, as well as their broader impact on communities, law enforcement, and criminal justice systems across the country. We are hoping to connect with former Chicago Police officers who worked on cases involving Vice Lords and their affiliates.

 We are hoping to start doing pre-interviews over zoom in the coming weeks, filming in July.
