Interviews for a new novel

Good afternoon,

I am a freelance Chicago writer currently working on a novel that deals extensively with crime, and I am looking to interview someone with personal knowledge and experience as a detective. The specific aspects of law enforcement which I am currently researching include homicide investigation, crime scene analysis, and cold case investigation, as well as general ideas of what life is like for a homicide detective.

Another project I am working on deals with con men and illegal gambling, so I am also seeking information about common street cons and the prevalence of illegal gambling in the city.

I am hoping your organization would be able to connect me with a person or persons open to volunteering their time to share their particular experiences and outlook on these topics. Interviews will be conducted via email or over the phone.
