Wants to interview retired officer for Police Magazine

I’m writing an article about what it’s like to retire from law enforcement for the next issue of POLICE Magazine, and I was hoping you might be able to put me in touch with one or more retired officers to interview this week or next week. I would also be interested in interviewing you about what you see as a member of this association, and perhaps how it helps former officers stay connected.

I’m interested in how retired officers spend their time now, including whether they went to a different fulltime job or not, if managing finances is an issue, and how they dealt with missing the job and camaraderie with co-workers. Any tips for current officers would be appreciated.

I’d also like to include a recent photo of each person I interview, preferably showing how they spend their time now (fishing, playing with grandkids, working a different job, etc.).

I’m available for interviews 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Please let me know if you’d like any further information. I appreciate your help.
