Free Estate Planning

October 6th the RCPA attended a meeting of the Polish Police Association were Colleen Daly who is running for Judge in the 1th Judicial Subcircuit gave us the following information.
The Wills for Heroes Foundation is a non-profit organization created in response to the events of September 11, 2001 when more than 400 firefighters and police officers made the ultimate sacrifice, many without estate plans. Through Wills for Heroes, volunteer lawyers provide free estate planning, including wills and healthcare and financial powers of attorney to first responders, military veterans, and their spouses or domestic partners.
We schedule regular clinics on Saturday mornings at Chicago Public Safety Headquarters, 3510 South Michigan Avenue. The appointment takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Appointments are available beginning at 9am, and last appointments are scheduled at 12pm. Available 2015 dates are listed below.
. Saturday, October 17 (10:30am through 12pm available)
. Saturday, November 14 (11:30am and 12pm available)
Please note that this program is also available to spouses/partners. You and your spouse/partner will be seated separately with different attorneys, although you can be seated near each other to consult. Upon confirmation, you will receive a questionnaire that needs to be completed for the appointment.
