George S. Polson, beloved husband, father, brother, and papa, passed away at his home in Arizona on January 20. 2022 at the age of 65 with Felice, his loving wife and soul mate, by his side. George was preceded in death by his parents Evert and Doris. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Felice, his son, Brett (Anne), his daughter, Brittany (Chris) Kaminski, his brother, Glenn, his grandchildren, Olivia and Theodore, and many other loving family members and dear friends who had the good fortune to know him. George was born and raised in Chicago, IL and graduated from Schurz High in 1975. He met the love of his life, Felice, in 1979, and they were married for over 40 years. He joined the Chicago Fire Department in 1980 and retired as a Lieutenant after 32 years of dedicated service. Following retirement, George and Felice bought a home in Gold Canyon, AZ to escape the Chicago winters. George fell in love with the sunshine, Superstition Mountains and everything retired life had to offer in Arizona. In his free time he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, friends and neighbors. George will always be a genuine inspiration for his family and friends and will be remembered for his positivity, strength and good nature and infectious smile. A celebration of his life will take place at the M J Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Family greeting friends from the 3-6pm. Richard F. Riberal 61, passed away unexpectedly at home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, May 10, 2022. He was raised in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood. Rich attended St. Andrew School and St. Benedict High School. He was the owner/operator of Rich’s Towing for over 21 years. Rich was our baby brother and the tallest of three. He was the glue that held our family together. Devoted father of Erica Lin Riberal, brother of Paul A. Riberal (Retired Sergeant with the Cook County Sheriff) of Gurnee, brother of Arthur R. Riberal of Skokie. Son of the late Frank R. Riberal and Erlinda Riberal (nee Rodriguez). Cherished partner of Jeanne Bemis Floreani, cousin to many and friend of many more. To his high school classmates, he was known as “JAWS”. Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday, May 19, Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, Il. 60625. Our monthly luncheon this month is on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Tavern Grille, 8880 E. Via Linda, Suite 106, Scottsdale, AZ 85258, phone 480-614-5254. We will start at 11:00 AM and the restaurant opens at 11:00 AM so try to get there a little earlier to get parking. The doors to the restaurant are open earlier. If you arrive before 11:00 AM please go in and identify yourself that you are with the CPD AZ Retiree Luncheon group. We have seating in the rear room of the restaurant. We will be trying to do the luncheons on THE THIRD WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH.
