SPORTING EVENT! reminder...

The Chicago Cubs will be hosting a Law Enforcement and Firefighter Appreciation Night for the Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers game on 01 June 2022 at 1905 Hours at Wrigley Field. There is a special ticket offer open to members of law enforcement, firefighters, and their families, and includes a ticket to the Cubs-Brewers game at Wrigley Field and a special-edition Cubs hat. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will be donated to either the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund or the 100 Club of Illinois. During the purchasing process, you will be prompted to select the organization you would like to support at checkout. SPECIAL EVENT! reminder...

The Graduation Ceremony for Recruit Class 21-5 (hire date 25 Oct 21) as well as the Promotion Ceremony for recently promoted Command Staff, Sergeants and Lieutenants (promotion date 13 Dec 21) will be held in the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier, 600 East Grand Avenue, on Tuesday, 31 May 2022 at 0930 hours. Please reference AMC message #218575 regarding Personal Appearance at Department sponsored public ceremonial events. The uniform of the day will be the Class A dress uniform (Wool round[1]crown hat without band, wool blouse, long sleeve shirt, necktie, tie bar, wool pants, and shined black dress shoes). All members participating in the ceremony are to report at 0600. All participants MUST notify their unit of assignment and the Training and Support Group of their intention to attend. Notification to the Training and Support Group can be made at Academy@chicagopolice.org or at 312-746-8315.

EAP MEETING! reminder...

Officer Department members and their families who are caregivers for someone with a disability are invited to join us for a Zoom Meeting on Tuesday 07 Jun 2022, 1700 hours. Topics covered will include but are not limited to concern about finding care for your family member while working, including information on the Family Medical Leave Act. This is a safe place where you can talk to peers about current challenges, as well as resources and support options to provide to one another.
