Teresa "Terry" I. Biebel, 73, passed away suddenly on December 19, 2022. She was the loving daughter of the late Eleanor (nee Sweeney) Biebel and Paul P Biebel, Sr. After retiring with the rank of Sergeant from the Chicago Police Department, she moved to Tennessee living most recently in Crossville. Terry was an active and much-loved member of the community. She kept in touch with her family and dear friends back in Chicago over the years. Survivors include her siblings Paul (Judy), Thomas (Carol), James (Peggy), Rosemary (Gene) Schulter, John, Ellen (the late Steve) Barry and Robert (Joan). Her brother Martin preceded her in death. Terry was a caring and adoring aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnephews. A memorial service will be held later in the year. Memorials in Terry's honor can be sent to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 7503 Peavine Rd, Crossville, TN 38558 or The Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd. Chicago IL 60607.

Retired P.O. Joseph Ozga, longtime officer in the canine unit passed away yesterday  in New York. Wake Monday and funeral Tuesday.  No further information at this time.  Jim Bonk.

The Professional Counseling Division/ EAP has a Support Group for Spouses and Significant others of sworn department members. The group is run by licensed EAP Clinicians, Ben Stover and Beckie Fischer. This group will provide a safe and confidential place to discuss family and relationships.
