Joseph Frank Ozga was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 22nd, 1951 to Stella and Frank Ozga. Joe attended St. Wenceslaus for elementary school and would later graduate from Prosser High School. After earning his diploma, he enlisted in the Army National Guard where he served honorably for over 5 years. Joe joined the Chicago Police Department where he worked for 38 years. He specialized in K9 Narcotics, working with his loyal canines Baron, Conrad, Urta and Ranger. Joe loved golf and taking vacations. He was a staunch supporter of his teams: the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers and Duke Blue Devils. Joe had since been enjoying his retirement with his family. Joe passed away after a brief illness at Phelps Memorial Hospital on January 13th, 2023, where he was surrounded by his loved ones. Joe is survived by his life partner, Debbie Novak, his 2 sons, Branden and Jared Ozga, and his stepdaughter, Adrienne Novak. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16th 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home (418 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville, NY 10570). A mass of christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 17th 2023 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Innocents R. C. Church (431 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville, NY 10570. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 17th 2023 at 1:45 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
