John J. “Jack” Hill, 89, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side. Beloved husband of 64 years to Catherine “Kay”, nee Donahue; loving father to James “Jim”, John “JD” (Susan), and Thomas (Laura) Hill; proud grandfather to Katie (Alex) Orlowski, Megan (Eric) Lonergan, Stacy Hill, Dan Hill, Ryan (Alex Belshoff) Hill, Colleen (Austin) Cinotto; honored great-grandfather to Henry and Leo Orlowski; beloved son of the late Lester J. (retired CFD) and Margaret Hill; cherished brother to the late Lois Dutkanych; kind uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack grew up on the southwest side of Chicago, served in the Korean War and was a proud alum of De La Salle High School and DePaul University. He retired as Senior Vice President of Operations from Wallace Computer Services after a long and successful career in the printing business. After retiring, he wintered in Venice, Florida at the Plantation Golf & Country Club and was a devoted member of the daily breakfast group at Einstein’s in downtown Naperville. Jack was a man of strong faith and family, with a love for life, Chicago sports (White Sox, Arizona (Chicago) Cardinals, Notre Dame and DePaul), playing all sports, especially golf, competitions of any kind, and family vacations. Jack’s favorite saying was “I never had a bad day in my life”. Visitation: Monday, January 23rd 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church,1450 Green Trails Dr, Naperville, IL. Funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00 AM at Church. Jack's Funeral Mass will be livestreamed by the church and can be watched by clicking HERE In lieu of flowers, contributions to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, (www.misericordia.com, 6300 N. John "Jack" McKeever, retired Chief of Police of Lindenhurst 1993-2011. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Sara (Farzin) Parang; and proud grandfather of Juliet.
