Kinowski, Jr., age 85, former Niles Fire Chief, beloved husband of the late Arlene, nee Speichert; loving father of Beverly Kinowski, Harry III (Sue) Kinowski, and Debra (Michael) Perrella; cherished papa of Stephen (Margaret) Cusick, Christin (Mike) Mejia, Briana (Chris) Marazas, Nicole Perrella, Katrina (Mike) Canevello, and Joey Kinowski; dear great papa of Oliver Cusick, and the late Michael Canevello. Mary Kathleen Roth (Basso), age 82, of Glenview, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on January 26, 2023. Mary was caring, gentle, and steadfastly loyal. Her fierce love of family and tradition, often inspired by her Swedish heritage, touched so many lives through welcoming people into her home for holidays, dinners, and more. Mary and her husband joyfully knit together a large community of loved ones that went beyond immediate family members. Mary is preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Michael (Mike); her sister, Barbara; and her parents, Daniel and Margaret Basso. She is survived by her son, Michael, Sergeant CPD (Marla) Roth; daughter, Jennie (Sam) Kramer; nieces, Molly (Erik Herman) Michet, Katie (Jay Curley) Michet, and Amy (Whitney Dorer) Michet; as well as her grandkids Michael and Marissa Roth, Margaret (Oliver) Munns, Grace, Jack, and Andrew Kramer, Nathan and Allison Curley, Oliver and Opal Dorchet; and sister-in-law, Judith Toler. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am on Friday, February 3 at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 1609 Pfingsten Rd, Glenview, where Mary was a founding member of 56 years.
