CPD AZ RETIREE LUNCHEON. PLEASE READ AND RESPOND WE HAVE GUEST SPEAKERS!!!

Dear CPD AZ Retirees,

PLEASE READ THIS AND RESPOND TO ME IF YOU ARE COMING. I NEED A HEAD COUNT FOR THE RESTAURANT. RESPOND NO LATER THAN TUESDAY BY NOON!

Our monthly luncheon this month is on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the EAGLE BUFFET AT CASINO ARIZONA, 524 N. 92nd St, Scottsdale, AZ 85256, right off the 101 & 202 at McKellips. The buffet does not open until 11:00 AM. We will check-in at 11:00 AM and please identify yourself that you are with the CPD AZ Retiree Luncheon group. Laura Peterson, the food service manager, is our contact person. She is doing a great job to accommodate our group. They will try to get us through the line and seated quickly. We will be in the rear room if it is available. We will be trying to do the luncheons on THE THIRD WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH. WE HAVE GUEST SPEAKERS!! PLEASE READ!!

This coming Wednesday, we now have two guest speakers coming to our luncheon. The first one is Mario Bertuccelli who is an AZ DPS LICENSED LEOSA INSTRUCTOR. Mario spoke to us about 3-4 years ago regarding his services to retired police officers who wish to qualify for the federal concealed carry license. This is not the same as the AZ concealed weapons license. One of our members, Ed Mook, has very good praises for him. For those of you who are interested in the LEOSA qualifications please come.

Our second guest is no stranger to our group, former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Joe will join us and share some comments with our group. Please come and enjoy the speakers and the camaraderie.

PLEASE GET BACK TO ME TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE COMING SO I CAN LET THE MANAGER KNOW THE NUMBERS.

Over the last many months, I have put out to the membership that we would welcome guest speakers. The only thing is that I would like to know so we do not have conflicts with people coming the same date. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestion for future speakers and have them contact me directly. I will put it out to the membership.
