Casey" George Cokkinias is being planned for a later date. Our beloved Uncle Sonny passed away on February 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong Chicago resident, Sonny was a proud U.S. Army Cold War Veteran serving in the 10th Infantry from 1954-1957. He achieved his childhood dream of being a Firefighter, as a 35 year veteran of the Chicago Fire Dept. Loving son of the late Nettie; brother of Joette, Susan and the late Metro, Georgia, Helene, Nesta and Charles. Beloved uncle of Nicholas, Christopher and Philip Cokkinias, Robert Kramer, Laura Stam, Michael Kramer, Richard Kramer, Karen Cox, Michelle Kramer, Carole Kramer, Joseph, Walter and the late Glenn Miller, Sean Marley, Ryan Marley and Alexis Nicoletti; Great Uncle and Great Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Uncle Sonny was the life of every family get-together he attended with his movie references, a Three Stooges song or just his booming voice and laughter. We were all blessed to have him in our lives. He will be in our hearts and thoughts forever and never forgotten. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Chicago Fire Department Foundation www.cfdfoundation.com
