John "Jack" W. Sullivan Jr., 84, of Lake Barrington passed away on February 28, 2023. He was born on February 2, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late John Sr. and Margaret Sullivan. He served the Oak Park community for 25 years as a police officer; he retired at the age of 50 as a Lieutenant in 1989. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Joan Sullivan; children, Ken (Elizabeth) Sullivan, John (Nadiya) Sullivan, and Jackie (Tim) Throop; grandchildren, Michael (Chelsea), Kelly, Anne, Matthew, Justine, JW, Mackenzie, Olena, Danny and Maggie; great-granddaughter, Chloe; siblings, Mary Ellen (Richard), Margaret (Joe), Stephen (Linda); and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1 PM until 6 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 6, from 9 AM until the time of prayers at 10 AM. A procession will follow to St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047 for a 10:30 AM funeral mass. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Charles Robert Weyer Sr. Age 77, of Braidwood, IL passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet, IL. Born November 14, 1945 in Chicago, IL to the late Henry and Helen (nee Naglak) Weyer, Sr. Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War era. In 1969 Charles became a Chicago police officer, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed golfing and loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Melissa) Weyer, Jr. of Chicago and their daughter, Lauren Weyer; siblings, Gerald (Karen) Weyer of Orland Hills, IL, Carol (Ruben) Cedillo of Tinley Park, IL, Barbara (Tom) Cassata of Naples, FL, and Robert Weyer of Braidwood; brother-in-law, Richard Delange of Woodridge, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Helen; wife of twenty-three years, Irma Rosa Valles Weyer, whom he married October 12, 1996; brother, Henry Weyer, Jr.; and sister, Patricia Delange. Cremation rites will be accorded. Family and Friends are welcome to gather in the parking of the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, 401 East Main St. Braidwood, IL 60408 Tuesday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. The Law Enforcement Hockey Classic to benefit Honor Flight Chicago returns for its 10th edition at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at The Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, IL. Doors open at 5 p.m. for this exciting, family-friendly evening highlighted by a spirited clash between teams from the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago branch of the FBI. The event includes fun side games like "Chuck-A-Puck," silent auction and raffle items, and a new dedicated youth fun area with more games and activities!

Tickets are $25 for adults ($30 at the door) and $10 for kids 12-and-under.Groups of more than 10 can purchase tickets for a special $15 per ticket price by calling the Honor Flight Chicago office at 773-227-8387.
