Looking for Retirees who Want to Help!!!

The Chicago Police Department is looking for retirees to participate in a program to assist in inspecting nursing homes for the elderly in the Chicago proper. These retirees would be referred to as volunteer ombudsmen. That's right no pay, but an opportunity to ensure that those residing in Chicago nursing homes are treated with dignity and respect. You would be able to set your own hours and need not travel any great distances if you wish. Also you do not have to be a resident of Chicago to participate. There would be a short training program given at the Police Headquarters building. This program is being conducted under State guide lines. You will be given the appropriate identification and any violations observed would be reported to the State for follow up. If you are interested or have any questions please contact Sgt. Crystal King-Smith at 312-244-9577 or 312-745-5907. Sgt. King can also be emailed at crystal.king-smith@chicagopolice.org.
