Patrick Dillon, native of Tarbert, County Kerry, Ireland. Patrick died at home on May 7th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was happily married to the late Sheila, nee McCarthy, and will be forever missed by his children: Patrick Dillon CFD, Colette (Jim) Dailey, Ann (Pete) Caruso, Maureen (Ron CPD) Yawger, the late Brendan Dillon, and Bernadette (Mick) Gavin. Patrick was the proud grandfather of 16; great grandfather of 8 (soon to be 9); dearest brother of the late Mary McGee (the late John); loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Ann; Sister in laws, Ita (Jerry), Ellen (Jerry) and brother-in-law Jack (Rosemary). Visitation Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 9 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Rose M. Witczak (nee Bojanowski), age 86. Late of Chicago, Illinois and longtime resident of Hegewisch. Passed away May 7, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Witczak. Loving mother of Steven J. Witczak, retired CPD (Beth), Anthony R. Witczak, and the late Kathleen M. Witczak, former CPD. Cherished Busia of Steven R. Witczak (Emily), Lauren E. Boldt nee Witczak (Jason), Samantha K. Witczak, Jessica K. Witczak, Kristina S. Witczak, and Anthony R. Witczak. Loving Great-Busia to and namesake of Zella Rose Boldt. Preceded in death by her parents, Constantine and Helen Bojankowski, and her sister, Florence, and brothers Sylvester and Edward. Rose will be missed and remembered by many dear friends and close neighbors. Rose was passionate about nature and animals. A voracious reader of all types of books, she also loved crossword puzzles, short of Sudoku. Rose enjoyed sweets, especially chocolates from Gayety’s. Her family and friends will deeply miss her sense of humor and wit. Rose was a longtime parishioner at St. Columba Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 10, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services Thursday, May 11, 2023 closing prayers at 9:15 a.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
