John M. “Jack” Doyle, (retired CPD) 74, lifelong Canaryville resident, passed away May 16, 2023. Beloved wife of 52 years to Kathleen (nee Clifford); loving father of Colleen Konagel, (Sergeant CPD) and John Doyle (CFD); cherished grandpa of Katie, Johnny, Brianna, Jack, and Quinn; dearest brother of MaryJo (Chuck) Dineen; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Eleanor Doyle (nee Coffey), and siblings Edward (late Donna) Doyle and Therese (late Robert) Danaher. Jack was a highly decorated Police Officer, in the tactical unit for the CPD for 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Canaryville S A C club and 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Jack was known to many for his famous “4th of July parties.” He loved lighting off fireworks and enjoyed the company of his family and friends. Services at McInerney Central Chapel, 4635 S. Wallace Street, Chicago, IL 60609 on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 3-8 pm. Funeral Monday, May 22, 2023 with chapel prayers at 9am to St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Jason Patrick Ramirez, United States Navy Veteran and Firefighter of 3 years with the Chicago Fire Department, age 32, passed away on Sunday May 14, 2023. Loving husband of 7 years to Samantha Ramirez (nee Wnenk); Adoring father of Rylann and Luna; Beloved son of Paula and the late Jonathan Ramirez; Dear brother of David (Princess Karen) Ramirez and Vanessa (Fiance Edward) Ramirez; Cherished grandson of Helen and the late John Balnis and Sharon (Ross Haynes) Ramirez; Uncle to Prince Koda Ramirez and Lilian Wnenk; Son in law of Rich and Jean Wnenk; Brother in law of Nick (April) Wnenk; Fond nephew and friend to many. A visitation for Jason will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Monday, May 22, 2023, at 11:30am at St. Christina Catholic Church, 3342 W.111th St., Chicago, IL 60655. Interment Private.
