Fredrick Theodore Bagagli, age 83, of Midlothian, IL. passed away June 1, 2023. Beloved son of the late Nello Bagagli and Tejuria “Terry” (nee Perelli). Loving father of Fredrick (fiancé Susan Malzone) Bagagli and Cheri Koester; dear brother of Joyce (the late William “Bill”) Fitzpatrick, Ron (the late Barbara) Stuart, and the late Donald (Leslie) Stuart; proud grandfather and uncle to many nieces and nephews. After serving in the army for three years, Fredrick began his career as an electrical mechanic and in his later years was a dedicated part time police officer for 25 years for the Midlothian community. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation Wednesday June 14, 2023, from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM at Hickey Memorial Chapel 4201 W. 147th St Midlothian, IL 60445. Jonathan Robert Gilleran, age 32, of McGregor, Iowa, previously of Lombard, IL , passed away unexpectedly on June, 2, 2023. Jonathan was the beloved son or Robert Gilleran and Elizabeth (Joe) Gilleran-Richmond. He was the proud father of Wren Gilleran. He was the younger brother of Ashley (Lloyd) Lindgren and older brother to Grace and Sarah Gilleran. Fun loving uncle to Peyton, Owen, Michael, Kevin and Aldric. Loving grandson of Joe and Theresa Kapas and the late Robert and the late Joellen Gilleran. Unconditionally loved nephew of Theresa Schopp and Barbara Kapas. Cousin to Jessica (John) Wilson, Samantha (Erik) Warren, Jacob (Jessica) Schopp and Rachel (Matthew) Regenold. Jonathan will be missed by countless friends. After graduating from Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, he enlisted in the Untied States Air Force as Security Force Officer. He was a combat veteran, serving in Afghanistan and the Global War on Terrorism. After serving his country, he was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at a Sergeant. Jonathan enjoyed bird watching and will be missed by his birds. Visitation Friday, June 9, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst IL 60126. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 145 E. Grand Ave., Bensenville, IL (All are to meet at the church) Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.

Thomas James Nowak, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023 in Prospect Heights, IL. He was born on January 31, 1958 in Oil City, PA to John A. and Constance Jane (Lanoye) Nowak. Tom married Laura Frayn on June 11, 1994 in Mt. Prospect, IL. Tom is survived by his children Katherine (Terence) Banich, Andrew (Laurie) Hajduch, and Rebecca (Patrick) Drewke; grandchildren Sadie, Eloise, and Theodore; siblings Douglas (Wendy) Nowak and Michael (Rhonda) Nowak; many nieces, nephews, friends, and pet dog Rhodie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Tom served as a Mt. Prospect police officer for 37 years before his retirement. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and all Chicago sports. Tom enjoyed golfing, traveling, boating, swimming, and listening to music. He attended the Indy 500 for decades. Tom loved all animals, especially dogs. In prior years he was a Boy Scout leader and he coached sports. Tom loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held from 4pm-6pm on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St., Des Plaines, IL 60016. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Raymond Catholic Church, Lincoln St. and Elmhurst Ave., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 with one hour additional visitation from 10am-11am at the church. Interment will be private at Maryhill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Tom's name to WINGS Program or PAWS Chicago.

Phillip Andrew Palczynski, of Downers Grove, Illinois, formerly of LaGrange Park, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, June 4, 2023. He was born on July 3, 1969, educated at Northern Illinois University, and attained his lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. At the time of his death, he was serving as a firefighter and paramedic with the Arlington Heights Fire Department, where he had been employed since 2000. Phillip was an active member of both St. Joseph Parish in Downers Grove and the Men’s Club at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Naperville, Illinois. He served as a director of the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club, where Phillip was able to share his passion for steam engines with his family and many friends. He is survived by his family: Susan (wife), née Smith, Kevin (son) and Katherine (daughter) as well as brothers Raymond (Theresa) Palczynski, Peter (Lorrie) Palczynski, John (Carla) Palczynski, and James Palczynski, and sisters Mary (Frank) Hammock, Helen (Mar Harmer) Palczynski and Margaret Palczynski and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth Palczynski. Visitation Monday, June 12th, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, June 13th, 9:15 a.m. from Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515 to St. Joseph Church.
