Joseph C. Jung, 76, of Morton Grove, IL passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 11, 2023, surrounded by family. Joe was born December 23, 1946, to Nicholas and Sally Weyker Jung. As a young man, he answered the call of duty as he was drafted into the United States Army. He was deployed to Vietnam, where he served with distinction, facing unimaginable challenges with unwavering resolve. After his honorable discharge from the military, Joe returned home. On March 27, 1970, Joe graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy, where he embarked on a remarkable career that spanned 30 years. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant and throughout his service, Joe distinguished himself as an outstanding officer, a trusted mentor, and a true embodiment of integrity. In his free time, he enjoyed pursuing various hobbies and interests. He could fix or build anything and was a man who loved a good deal. His presence brought warmth and joy to those around him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. Beloved husband of Virginia Jung nee Dorsey; loving father of Michael Jung, Brian Jung, Kelly (Georg) Simos, and Kevin Jung; proud grandpa of Nathan Jung, Michael, and Leonidas Simos; dear brother of Carol Jung, Nicholas (Rita) Jung, Robert (the late Jackie) Jung, Linda (Fredrik) Thomas and the late Richard Jung; brother-in-law of Father Patrick Dorsey, SJ.; caring uncle of Fritz and Scott Thomas. Visitation, Monday, June 19, 2023, 9:15 am - 10:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove Street at Church Street, Glenview, IL 60025. Charles L Wright, 88, of Chicago, Illinois passed from our hands into God’s loving arms on June 11, 2023. He leaves behind Dolores Jean Wright, his lifelong partner of 20 years and wife for 13 of those beautiful years, his beloved children, Kevin (Cheri) Wright , Brian (Renee) Wright, John (Yvonne) Wright and the late Charles L Wright Jr, and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan Wright, Kyle Wright, Sara Wright, Lisa Wright, John Wright, Michael Wright, and Donald Wright. Dear brother to Nancy Hartman and Donna Heisey. Preceded in death by his wife Janice Wright need Horne. Loving uncle to many, beloved brother-in-law, and friend to all. Proud US Army veteran and Chicago police veteran of 39 years. Charles leaves a legacy of love for his family and friends to cherish. He will be deeply missed.
