William “Billy” Clancy, (Ret. C.P.D.) 62. Beloved son of Mary Ann (nee McGowan) and the late William Clancy; cherished brother of Kevin (Anne) Clancy, Brendan (Michelle) Clancy, Sheila, Christopher (Maria) Clancy, and the late Maureen Clancy; devoted uncle to Jazmin, Jessie, Gabe, Mary, Liam, Bonnie, Conor, Nora, Kaitlyn, Ciara and Margaret; dear nephew, Godson, Godfather, and a true and generous friend to many. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Monday, lying in state from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ita Catholic Church, 5500 N. Broadway in Chicago. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Hilda A. Lotito, née Coteus, age 105, formerly of Skokie, died Monday, July 3, 2023, at Summit of Uptown in Park Ridge. Daughter of the late Emil and Grace, née Moseley, Coteus, she was born March 20, 1918, in Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Frank; dear mother of John (Sherry) Lotito and Janice (the late Harry) Collins; loving grandmother of Michael Collins, Katie CPD (Bob CPD) Cygnar, Megan (Chris) Sanchez, Joy Arriaga, Gianna (Curtis) Powell, and Gayle (David) Veldhuizen; cherished great-grandmother of many; fond sister of the late Minna (the late Roman) Schleser; dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m., at HABEN Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. John Paul Schelling went home to the Lord on July 4th at 4:50 AM. Born to Pastor James Brandt Schelling and Sharon Schelling (Kaye) on January 26th, 1963, John was a warmhearted, helpful, and highly athletic son. John was born in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Franklin Park, IL, and settled in Roselle, IL in 1981. He served the Dupage County Sheriff’s office for 20 years. John loved his time as a police officer, and remembers his friends and colleagues with great regard. John is a loving father to two children, Adam and Amanda, a middle-brother to James Jr. and Peter, and a charismatic uncle to David, Taylor, Brett, Jessica, and Luke. “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 Visitation Friday, July 7, 2023, 4:00pm to 9:00 pm at Salerno Funeral Home, 450 W. Spiritual Wellness is a vital part of Officer Wellness. The Chicago Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) holds its regular monthly meetings on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Chicago Police Academy. This month's fellowship will be held on 08 July 2023 from 0800- 1000hrs. All active duty and retired members are welcome to attend. The FCPO is a nationwide ministry to law enforcement officers, by law enforcement officers. Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers both active duty and retired.
