John Joseph Brennan Sr. was born on December 1, 1929 and passed away on July 26, 2023. He was the son of the late Thomas and Zita Rose (Gillespie) Brennan, he is survived by daughters Linda (Thomas) Koch, Annette (Brian) Miller, a son John Jr. (Chaliang) and stepchildren Frances (Paul) Stamper and Frank Mineo. John is also survived by his sister Annette, as well as nieces, nephews, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn, son Michael and siblings Eileen, Shirley, Lorna, and Patrick. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 3, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM at Saint Pascal Catholic Church, 3935 N. Melvina Ave., Chicago, IL 60634. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Robert Edward Nallen age 80, at rest on July 26th 2023. Robert was born and raised in the Austin Neighborhood of Chicago and attended Austin High School. He was a proud 25 year veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Robert was a die-hard Cubs and Blackhawks fan and an avid golfer and lover of John Wayne and James Bond films. In retirement, Robert was a resident of Galena, Illinois, for more than 30 years and affectionately known as "Bob" to all that knew and loved him. Bob was the beloved husband of 28 wonderful years to Irene Kirby-Nallen. Loving father of Lisa (Michael) Heene, Robert (Jennifer) and Michael (Maria). Dear stepfather of William John Kirby (Yvette Kirby), James Austin Kirby (Kathryn Ryder-Kirby), Robert Sean Kirby (Chrissy Kirby), Late Maria Olga Kirby (Scott Reierstad). Fond brother of James (the late Charlotte) Nallen, Thomas Nallen and John Nallen. Proud grandfather of Ryan, Shawn, Michael, Ashley and Brendan, and step grand kids, Robert Sean Kirby, Madeleine Anne Kirby, Sean William Kirby, Lauren Paige Kirby, William Miles Kirby, Allison Marie Kirby, Kirsten Nicole Kirby, Emily Grace Reierstad, Andrew James Kirby, Lucas John. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death to his parents James and Hazel Nallen, sisters Dorothy (the late Patrick) Flavin, Elizabeth Nallen, Joan (the late Michael) Blasi and his brother, Michael (Linda) Nallen. Visitation for Bob will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Thursday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and then proceed to St. Monica Church in Chicago for 10:00 am Mass. Interment will be private. Hello! Summer Event Season is in full swing, and we are recruiting volunteers for several events. If you'd like to help out at this year's Golf Outing on August 7th, please reply to this ! We'd love to have you work with friends in pairs, so if you can bring a friend with you, let me know! We could not do what we do without your help. So far we have given out over $18.9 million in assistance to Chicago Police families in need. Thank you for making this possible!

Location: Cantigny Golf Course, 27 W. 270 Mack Rd in Wheaton.

On-site parking is available.

Volunteers needed for 3 shifts:

7:30am – 11:30am; 11:30am – 3:30pm and 3:30pm – 7:30pm.

Help needed in Merchandise Sales/Raffles, Split the Pot and as contest witnesses on holes!
