Virginia Cregar.jpg

Virginia M. Cregar was born on June 24, 1946 in Chicago, IL and went to her heavenly Father on August 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Charlotte (nee Gunderson) Cregar and brother Harold Cregar Jr. and many other family members. Ginny, as she was known by family and friends, had a great love of all animals. She was especially fond of dogs and cats and dedicated a great part of her life to their care. She was a vet-tech for many years and later had her own dog boarding business. Her clientele knew her to be kind, reliable, and knowledgeable and she offered a happy, safe place for their pets while they were away. Another part of her life was dedicated to the police force due to her Dad losing his life while on duty as a police officer. She spent time on a police hotline speaking with officers and listening to concerns. She had a dry wit and could keep everyone laughing and questioning the validity of her stories. She will be especially missed by her dearest friends; Howard and Joan Friedman, Dr. Lynn Heinbuch, Liz Hendricks, her Aunt Doris Kolberg of California, GiGi Stone, many cousins, her clients, and her 4 precious dogs, Howie, Sugar, Pickles and Frida.
