Brian M. Anderson (Retired CFD), age 64 of Chicago, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Kathryn (nee Bland) Anderson; loving dad of Brian M. (Hannah) Anderson and step father of Heather (Josh) Ingalls, Rachael Broughton; dear brother of Deirdre Anderson (Terry) Jakubczak and Glen Anderson; fond grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend to many. Brian is preceded in death by his loving parents Richard G. Anderson (Retired CFD) and Lucy (nee O’Connell) Anderson. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30th 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. Funeral Thursday, August 31st prayers 9:45 a.m. from Blake-Lamb followed by a procession to St. Bernadette Church, 9343 S. Francisco, Evergreen Park. Mcristle A. (Mister) Ross. Mcristle was born July 19, 1948 in Grenada, M.S. She was the youngest of ten children born to the union of Willie Mister, Sr. & Millie Mister (Conley). Her siblings were: Rufus, Robert, Estelle (Sellie Edwards), Willie Jr., Iola, John, Irotha, Ezra Macarthur, Lynn, and John R. Mcristle was affectionately known as “Cristle” or “Ann” by family and friends. Mcristle accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago, Il. She met and married her former spouse, John C. Ross. To this union were born two children, Biron D. and Kimon L. Ross. Mcristle graduated from John Marshall High School and obtained her associate degree from Wilbur Wright College. She had a near forty-year career as a juvenile detention officer at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center where she was a passionate and tireless advocate for the rights and equitable treatment of children and staff. Mcristle was preceded in death by her parents (Willie & Mille Mister), one sister, Iola, and four brothers: Willie Jr., Rufus, Robert, and Ezra MacArthur. Mcristle was fiercely independent, vibrant, and unconditionally loving. Her kind heart, radiant smile, and indomitable spirit left a mark upon all fellow travelers in her life’s journey. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her two sons, Biron (Ayana Ross) and Kimon, two sisters, Estelle and Irotha, and three brothers, John, John R., and Lynn. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Kyle, Kiersan, Sabbath, Sojourner, Schylar, and Solomon, and a host of relatives and friends. She will be forever missed. Lincoln is survived by his Beloved Spouse of 24 years, Ellen Patsavas Spolar and Devoted Father of Brian Allan Spolar. Loving Brother of Linda Kramer (Allan) and Jeanie Olian-Dowdall.
