Anthony Daniel Finocchio. On Aug. 28, 2023, Tony passed away from complications of dementia. He was born on Aug. 19, 1950, in Chicago, Ill. Tony was brought up in Chicago, Ill., and then Long Beach, Calif. As a teenager, he returned to Chicago, attending Proviso West High School in Hillside, Ill., where he lettered in football. Tony continued his schooling, receiving his master’s in criminal justice from Lewis University. In 1970 he joined the Chicago Police Department, where he proudly served for 32 years, retiring as a lieutenant. Tony met his beautiful wife, Wynette, in 1971. They raised two daughters together, Michelle and Denise. Tony and Wynette retired to Fountain Hills in 2002. Tony found fellowship and purpose as an active 18-year member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Four Peaks (Fountain Hills, Ariz.) Rotary Club. He served alongside fellow Rotarians in many ways, including as assistant governor and as the club’s past president. Tony was appointed and served for many years on the Town of Fountain Hills Public Safety Commission. He also enjoyed being a private pilot, avid motorcyclist, golfer and hanging out with his close friends in his Fountain Hills, Desert Canyon Golf Course neighborhood, where he and his wife have called home for 20 years. Tony is preceded in death by his father, Anthony R. Finocchio; his mother, Betty Finocchio and granddaughters, Megan and Shannon. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wynette; two daughters, Michelle and Denise; three grandchildren, Richard, Sophia and Alyssa; his brother, Tom (Janie) and sister, Barbara; eight nieces and nephews and he was a great-uncle to many. Ruth Ann Henning nee Crubaugh, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on January 27, 1942, to Cleve and Goldie Hunter Crubaugh in the heart of Chicago. Ruth was one of nine siblings: Betty Jean Crubaugh, William Crubaugh, Cleve Crubaugh, Norma Crubaugh, Jacob Crubaugh, Constance Crubaugh, Gerald Crubaugh, and Rosemary Crubaugh. Growing up, they shared a home filled with laughter, warmth, and a strong sense of kinship. These early years instilled in Ruth an unshakable commitment to her family. In April 1965, Ruth embarked on a lifelong journey of love and commitment when she married Chicago Police officer John Thomas Henning. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership. Ruth's dedication to her family was boundless. She was a loving and nurturing mother to her two children: Renee (Daniel) Kapel and John Patrick (Amy) Henning, raising them with care and devotion. Her legacy extended to her role as a grandmother, a role she embraced with joy and enthusiasm. Her two grandchildren, Bailey Lillian Kapel and Clayton William Henning were a source of immeasurable happiness in her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Ruth's memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart full of love. She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, John Henning. Thomas J. Sheehan, U.S. Army Veteran of VietNam War, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 8, 2023. He was a proud Chicago Policeman, for just one day short of 40 years until his retirement in 2009. Loving Father of Thomas C.F.D. (Kimberly) Sheehan and Kristin (Bruce) DiGrazia and the late Ryan Kennedy. Proud Grandfather of Haley, Jayden, Milania, Kaden and Gia. Tom will be missed by his former wife and friend, Belinda. Fond Brother-in-law of Sandra Sheehan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Pauline and brother Patrick Sheehan. Dear Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday, September 11, 2023 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8:30 AM until the time of Celebration of Life Service at 10 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to Mt.
