Jerome (Jerry) Miklasz, 92, died peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023. He leaves his loving family, many friends, and wonderful caregivers remembering his humor, kindness, and earnest passion for the Park Ridge Police Department. Born September 5, 1930 in Chicago to Daniel and Lillian Miklasz, he was raised with his younger brother, Danny. After high school and serving in the US Air Force, Jerry married Pat Ciesla in 1953. Together they raised two daughters in Park Ridge, where they resided for over 60 years. Jerry went on to become Vice President of Sales for Lewis Spring Manufacturing Company. He dedicated many years of service as a member of the Chicago Association of Spring Manufacturers, Inc. (CASMI) where served as an officer and on the Board of Directors at various times. He was a longtime member of Amvets, and he was also awarded an honorary lifetime membership from the Knights of Columbus, Tonti Council. In addition, he proudly served over 20 years as a reserve police officer for the Park Ridge Police Department. Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Ciesla), loving father of Pamela (Gary) Reibert, Susan (Timothy Cavallo) Cantalupo, cherished grandfather of Ashleigh (Michael) Anderson, Matthew (Natalie) Reibert, Alex Cavallo, Joseph (Lynsey) Cavallo and Mitchell Cavallo, and dear “great-grandpa Jerry” to Ava, Sienna, Emma, Jordan and Ryan. Dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and loyal friend to many. A private interment with immediate family and a celebration of life will be held on September 30, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are appreciated. Obituary | Jerome Miklasz of Arlington Hts, Illinois | Skaja Funeral Homes.
