Stephen Bezenyei, Ret. CPD; beloved husband of Jeanne Rose (nee, Mulvaney) and the late Jeanne (nee, Healy); loving father of Mary (John, Ret. CPD) Sullivan, Christine Kysar, Cynthia (Tim, Ret. CPD) Beran, John (Amy) Bezenyei, Paul Bezenyei and David (Lety) Bezenyei; devoted grandfather of Katie Ottawa PD (Jake) Passini, Michael Sullivan, Danny Sullivan, Caitlin Kysar, Allie Kysar, Tim Beran Niles FD, Michaela Beran, Christopher Bezenyei, Aaliyah Bezenyei, Alyssa Bezenyei, Aiden Bean and Stephany Bezenyei; dear brother of Maria (late Jeno) Petrakovits and Eva (Bill) Laskey; fond brother-in-law of MaryAnn (late Bill) Heavey, Pat (Jim) Lyons, John (Maureen) Healy and the late James (Joan) Healy; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews; also, thoughtful friend of many. Visitation Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 3:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. (St. Jude Service time is pending) at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 27th, starting with prayers at 9:15 A.M. from the funeral home, proceeding to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Church for a 10:00 A.M. Mass. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery, in Niles. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Police Memorial Foundation, 1407 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607. Frank Messmer. Frank died September 10, 2023 in Sarasota, Fl at age 87. He was retired from the Oak Park Fire Department. Frank loved golf, bike riding and travel. He lived in Palatine, IL for many years. Predeceased by parents Frank and Dorothy Messmer, birth mother Estelle Jajko, and daughter, Laura Ann Kowalski. Frank is survived by wife, Sharon, daughter Kathleen Ann, son Michael C, son- in- law Wayne Kowalski, grandsons Troy (Megan), Landon and Jared Kowalski. Funeral mass in Sarasota Fl October 27.
