SPECIAL NOTICE!

The Department of Human Resources (DHR) has partnered with outside agencies to make the Civilian Pre-Retirement Seminar content available online. There are four recorded video presentations that capture important information from MEABF (Pension), Department of Finance – Benefits Office (Health Benefits), Nationwide (Deferred Compensation) and Social Security to prepare members for retirement. Members may view the videos at their convenience and do not need to do so during working hours. The videos may be accessed on the WIRE Homepage under HR Announcements and then select Civilian Pre-Retirement Seminar Information OR copy the following link to review externally (at home, etc.): https://www.chicago.gov/city/ en/depts/dhr/supp_info/retirement information-for-city-employees.html DHR is discontinuing in-person facilitation of the Pre-Retirement Seminar as the video presentations provide the key information to prepare for retirement.
