Retired Detective Ivory Hampton, father of Police Officer Tracy Hampton assigned to Deployment Operations Center.

Ivory L. Hampton Jr., age 85, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 3rd, 2023. Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Ivory that will be held from 3 - 8 PM on Monday, November 13th, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. There will be a wake for Ivory from 10 - 11 AM on Tuesday, November 14th, at Lilydale First Baptist Church, 649 West 113th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60628, where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Mt. Glenwood Memory Gardens South. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.blakelamboaklawn.com for the Hampton family.

Officer Patrick J. Lopez, Crestwood Illinois Police Department, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the age of 60 years. 28-year career as a police officer. U.S. Army Veteran. Loving father, son, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Member of the Tunica Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana. He fought cancer for almost 3 years. William Robert Mooney, III; Born August 25, 1953 and passed away peacefully at home on November 7, 2023; Beloved son of the late William R. Jr. and the late Margaret (nee, Regan); devoted husband of Ileene-Marie (nee, Lowy); loving father of William R. IV (Leah) Mooney and Patrick Morton; doting "Pono" of William V and Lillian; cherished son-in-law of the late Morton and the late Bernadine Lowy; dear brother-in-law of the late Mari-Donna Ekstrom Roy and the late Joseph Roy; loving uncle of Kristen (Virgil) Allen and Kathryn (Thomas) Dykas; fond great-uncle of Elizabeth and Henry Allen; loyal friend of Neville & Margaret Keller, Shannon, Kevin, Aubrey and Kaley Kennedy; brother of Joan Allen; also, committed colleague, friend and mentor to many others. Bill loved God, his family, and his country. Born and raised in Chicago, Bill dedicated his career to the city and its residents. He was a proud graduate of Loyola Academy and identified with the Ignatian principle of “men and women for others.” He completed his undergraduate degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Civil Engineering and his MBA at the University of Chicago while working at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). He followed a tradition of public service, embodied by the generations that preceded him, who served with the Chicago Police Department (CPD). Bill started as a police officer with the transit detail, and when the unit was transferred to CPD, Bill stayed on with CTA and joined an accelerated management program. He served the CTA for over 34 years, as head of the Paratransit program, Rail Operations, Bus Operations and ultimately as Chief Operating Officer. He made an indelible impact on the many people he mentored and through the dynamic leadership he brought to the city’s transit system. After leaving the CTA, Bill continued working as a consultant in the transit industry, advising transit agencies across the world. A larger-than-life personality, he was dedicated first and foremost to his family and close friends, and he particularly loved being a grandfather. He was known for hosting epic holiday parties and always opening his home to others. He loved traveling, taking his family members on many exciting vacations, and he especially enjoyed the trips he took with his beloved wife, Ileene-Marie, visiting the Holy Land, China, and other memorable places. He was known for his generosity, warmth, and fierce loyalty, and he will be deeply missed by the many whose lives he touched. Visitation Monday, November 13, 2023, at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, from 3:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Funeral Tuesday, November 14, 2023, family and friends are invited to meet at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 6955 N. Hiawatha Ave., Chicago, for a 10:00 A.M. Mass.
