Patrick Cahill, age 80, passed away peacefully in his home on November 16. He was a native of Ballyhahill, County Limerick, Ireland, and the son of the late Thomas and Catherine (nee Lane) Cahill. Beloved and devoted husband of Barbara (nee McDonagh); father of Thomas, Patrick (Michele Fonte), Maureen Blaha (Stephen), and Barbara Ann Ohse, CFD (Rory, CFD); and proud grandfather of Ciaran, Aidan, Declan, and Brendan Blaha, Keira, Kaitlin, and Connor Ohse, and Sean Mala-Cahill. He was the fond brother of the late Eileen (late Kevin) Carroll, the late William, the late Mary (late Michael) Gleeson, the late Thomas, Margaret (Patrick) Lynch, Elizabeth (John) Clince, the late Daniel, Kevin (Rose), John (Maureen), Bernadette (John) Ryan, Frank (Máire), Sister Catherine Cahill, and the late babies Joseph and Stephen. Patrick was the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Survived by countless family members and friends. Visitation Tuesday, November 21 from 3-8 pm at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge. Mass 10 am at Immaculate Conception Parish, 7211 W. Talcott Ave., Chicago, on Wednesday, November 22. Beloved husband of 56 years to Lydia (nee Smith); loving Dad to Paul and David Davenport; cherished grandfather to Melanie, Amanda, Donovan, Xavier and Kaylee and great grandfather to Kyia and Naomi; dear brother to Julius (Eileen) Davenport, Albert Davenport, Susie (Horace) Smith, Ricardo Davenport, Theresa (Herman) Brewer and the late Joseph Davenport and the late Mary Rose (Arthur) Bell. Milton was a loving uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to many. All who knew and loved him will cherish his memory. Robert Theodore McVicker passed peacefully into God's loving arms at his home in North Mankato, MN on Saturday, November 11, 2023, surrounded by his family. Robert was born April 6, 1926, in Chicago, IL. He enlisted in the Navy during WWII and served in the Pacific theater. He met the love of his life Mary O'Hara in 1955 at a church dance and they were married 6 months later. He joined the Chicago Police Department in 1956 and retired in 1979, he moved the family north to MN. Bob continued to serve others by volunteering at numerous charitable organizations throughout many years in the Mankato Area. He was a positive influence and role model for his children, who will miss everything about him. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Mary, his parents Paul and Mary (Maffia) McVicker, brothers Patrick and William. He is survived by his 7 children, Margaret, Joseph (Sue), Kathleen (Jim) Shabatura, John (Sue), Kevin (special friend Marlene Braun), Robert, Colleen (Carl) Fritz; and nine grandchildren, plus two great grandchildren and many nephews. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00pm Sunday, November 19th at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Monday, November 20, 2023, at Holy Rosary Catholic. On 01 December 1958 the tragic loss of 95 lives occurred at Our Lady of Angels school here in Chicago one of the worst school fires in U.S. History. On Friday 01 December 2023 there will be a mass of remembrance commemorating the 65th year of this horrific tragedy. Services will be at Holy Family Church, (just west of Saint Ignatius College Prep) located at 1114 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, Illinois at 1800 hours, (doors open at 1630), parking adjacent to the church. The celebrant for the mass will be Chicago Fire Department Chaplain Fr. William McFarland and services will commence with the Chicago Fire Department Color Guard. All are welcome to attend, please spread the word. For further information contact retired P.O.
