Subject: Looking for retired officer for thank you
Afternoon,
Strange request but I am looking for a Chicago police officer hopefully it wasnt cook county but the officer that is probably retired may not be around anymore but thought I'd try. Long story short the officer drove me to the hospital and saved my life back in July 1972 after I had a bad head injury and lost a lot of blood and was pronounced dead. We lived in Chicago and I was only 3 and if it helps he was friends with my dad, Richard Hering who was working for ADT. I have found out recently if that officer did not drive me and they had waited for ambulance I most likely would not be here today. If there's any way to ask around of officers that were around so I could say thank you that would make me so happy. I have had a few other life scares lately and would appreciate any help you can provide.
