Andrew Creagh, age 81, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Born in Chicago, IL on February 20, 1942 to the late Andrew and Ann (Cacioppo) Creagh. He attended local schools and graduated from high school in Chicago. Andrew was a West Point Graduate and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed as a police officer with the City of Chicago for 32 years. Andrew was an angel on earth, who would do anything for anyone. He was a gentle giant and a selfless man who loved spending time with his family and friends. One of Andrew’s favorite quotes was, “Give em Hell!” He was always up for a shot and a beer and looked forward to every football season with “Da Bears.” He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Leila and granddaughter, Kelley Ann. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Katherine.

Edward W. Hoes, suddenly, age 76, of Plainfield. Beloved husband of Kathleen “Kathy” (nee Holliday) Hoes. Loving father of Tim (Lisa) Hoes and the late Christopher Hoes and Kathy’s children, John (late Kate), Michael (Heather) and Laura Holliday. Proud grandfather of Michael and Chris “CJ” Hoes Jr. and “Papa” to Brandon and Maddie Holliday. Dear brother of Kenneth (Livie) Hoes and the late Henry (Jeri) Hoes. Devoted son of the late Henry and Jeanette (nee Hornbogen) Hoes. Ed is currently the Executive Director of the Illinois Police Association and has been the Director for the last 24 years. Ed is a retired Police Officer for the Riverside Police Department after thirty years of distinguished service to the Riverside community. Ed rose through the ranks of the Illinois Police Association as the Tri-County Division Chairman, then was elevated through the different positions of the Executive Board, until he was elected President of the organization in 1998-1999. Ed was passionate about law enforcement and protecting and supporting law enforcement officers throughout the State of Illinois with his tireless work on behalf of the IPA and its members. His efforts on behalf of all Illinois law enforcement, while sometimes not properly recognized, will never be forgotten. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home 10501 W. Cermak Road (2 Blks. W. of Mannheim Rd) Westchester on Sunday February 25, 2024, from 12:00 Noon until 3:00pm. A short prayer service and words of remembrance will begin at 2:30pm. Interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted, with a heavy heart, to The Original Kuratko Family, Brian D.
