Mark J. Berndt, born on September 13, 1950, to Robert and Alice Berndt, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mark leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, dedication, and love. A retired detective and police officer, Mark served his community with honor and distinction, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him. Mark's wonderful sense of humor and reputation as the life of the party will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and colleagues. He had a unique ability to light up any room and make people feel at ease with his laughter and warmth. He is survived by his son Derek Berndt (Victoria), daughter Jennifer Turner, and grandchildren, Evan, Ivy, Chase, and Brooklyn, who will miss him deeply. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Mark J. Berndt's memory.
